Dry carbon does not include UV protection. An automotive-grade clear coat with UV inhibitors is recommended if the hood will not be painted or wrapped.
Small imperfections, including wavy weaves, can occur due to the size and shape of the hood scoop.

Do not reinstall OE gas shocks, dampers, or struts; they place excessive pressure on a composite hood
Minor adjustments may be necessary during normal installation. Professional installation by a shop experienced with carbon fiber components is recommended.
